A Hoop Keeps You in the Loop
Earrings have always been a tricky thing with me. I love them on others but I have always been drawn to earrings that tend to be heavy due to a lot of the stones that may be in the earrings. After a few hours, the earrings end up going in a little pouch in my bag. Because of this, I tend to go without them. Recently I was introduced to these diamond hoops from Helzberg Diamonds. As soon as I saw them, I thought they were very delicate and perfect to pair with upcoming holiday parties; however, you know my belief in Casual Glam – bringing special items to the everyday, is essential to me. My first opportunity to wear these earrings came about during a recent brunch with a friend. These earrings were worn with my jeans, tank top and a wrap (with my knitted boots). I loved how people looked up to see these earrings. Not only did I feel a bit like the old world glamour, but I loved the idea of wearing earrings that were completely weightless and in white gold. From this night on, I knew that I wanted to wear them with more pieces that were completely casual to add in the pop of shimmer. Other nights, due to various holiday functions, I wore them with cocktail dresses and multi-layer necklaces. It became clear that these earrings were a new go to item for me. They stepped up my whole look without being too heavy and everyone wanted to know where I received them. In my opinion, these earrings are going to be a major look for 2008. In one way or another, we look for a way to step up our look just to keep it fresh and I must say that with comments and stares like this, it's nice to know you can have a bit of luxury (did I mention the 84 single cut Diamonds) and still be very you.
