A Pleathora of Pearls
I don't have a lot of pearl necklaces and many people think of pearls having a stuffy image when they are simply another fabulous item that can be included on a simple chain or within a cluster of stones. I must admit that as a designer, I have a difficult time incorporating pearls within my designs since I want to steer clear from this notion. Barbara Silverstein has brought an edge to the pearl that I have not seen. I love the necklace above which used her braided stainless steel to create this webbed lattice with pearls inside. How cute would this necklace be with a halter dress, a tube top, cutaway jacket and tapered pants. You can definitely dress up your outfit without appearing stiff. The pearls are a variety of shades which enhances the overall depth of the piece. I would love to know if this piece is also made in silver but our favorite Vegas based, Unica Home, carries various portions of her collection (although I didn't see this piece on their site).
