I love watching old movies where women wore those really luxe and silky evening gowns and robes with the feathers on them. I love watching them sit in front of their vanity mirrors and watching them slip on their kitten heels as they dressed for dinner. There is something about that time period where everyone found glam in everything. Now many of you know that I am all about being casual and wearing denim. I think it's amazing that we live in a time when we can wear this in so many situations without having to think about whether we are appropriately dressed? But every now and then I want to glam it up (case in point - when I went to Vegas, I made sure that every night I was decked out in my finest look - it was nice to bring that look back I felt very Casino like!). When I saw the Claudia Ciuti's Marika T Strap Platform heels, I knew that this was a pair that I would love to have within my wardrobe. ShopBop.com has these shoes and I love the feather detail and the neutral look of this shoe. I also love that this is definitely a vamp style so you know that everyone will be following your step as you cross the room. You may not sit in front of your vanity mirror laboring over your powders and scents before you go out, but you are serious about the business of old Hollywood glam!
