If I've said it once, I'll say it again - I don't know how I went so long without embracing one of the most important accessory element - the belt! How many times have I woken up not feeling great about my outfit, throwing on a belt through my loops or over my hips - only to receive stares and compliments!! How could I have been so silly to never use this to my advantage? Now every shopping trip involves an interesting belt or a buckle. This is not a lesson that will leave my grasp for some kind. In fact it has saved some people's gifts that were a tad big or slightly oomphless. Thank you belt industry and may you continue to carry us through these hard times. So with all of that said, I must say that I believe that I have found a friend in
Massive Silver by none other than Margret Karner. What an interesting eye she has to create this belt, Concave, which is meant to remind you of a skipping stone that you may find on the beach. It even reflects light and acts as a mirror. I must say that this may be one of my favorite belts that I have seen in a long time. So once again, this belt is one that BEGS to be with you in jeans and a button down shirt. I love when you roll your sleeves up or if you let them stay down and open the cuffs. My rule for belts when you wear button down is to obviously wear it untucked but open your bottom buttons. You simply can't wear this belt or any other with it being seen - it would be a crime against the workmanship. So, I always unbutton the top buttons about 2 or 3 buttons so that you're jewelry is seen and then from the bottom 2 or 3 as well. This allows the shirt to open naturally for the buckle to be seen. So yes, you may only have 2 or 3 buttons of your entire shirt buttoned but I promise you - it's a great look. Then pair with heels, flip flops, boots, etc.
