Enemy of The Holiday
I believe that people who don't like Valentine's Day secretly yearn for romantic gifts. I believe this because I am such a person: a self-declared Enemy of the Holiday.
Around the dreaded date, I find myself looking at appropriate gifts (for myself): trinkets, really – little charms, shiny gems (not diamonds!), and invariably, pj's and robes.
I tend to shred robes. I do dishes in them, spill bleach on them, and generally desiccate them in the dryer. So it is not without guilt that I look to the Cashmere Robe as the ultimate indulgence.
I was very excited, then, to find that Restoration Hardware has their Cashmere Robe on sale. It comes in lots of lovely colors; it is soft as a baby lamb. Oh, and it's dry-clean only, so it can't be ruined in the dryer.
A gift like that could be deserved at any time. No need to wait for Valentine's day, right?
