Fall is Almost Here So Let The Support Flow
I love this time of year! The weather is warm with a crispness to it. You can wear minimal layers and yet soak up as much of the sun as you possibly can! Side note, in the city in the Flatiron area of NYC, I saw cheesy plastic Christmas wreaths on the light posts. I love Christmas as much as the next person; however, do we have to rush into it that quickly? Anyway, with October only days away there will be a lot of designers (me included) supporting the cause of breast cancer! Kitten Couture, which is my resort clothing and jewelry line is eager to support the Libby Ross Foundation which will be having an online boutique where designers will provide a portion of their proceeds to the awareness and research of this disease.
I have created a series of pieces done in pink natural stones, Czech beads and more. I think that it's always a good idea to support a cause and to provide a form of assistance. This piece pictured above, Jacqueline, is one of my favorites from the "Fight For Pink" collection. Jacqueline incorporates Tiger Eye, Mother of Pearl Shell, Pink Quartz and Pink Hermazite.
Throughout this month, there will be more designers participating in one foundation or another; moreover, as you have noticed, there have been posts for those that have been fighting for a cause. If you're a designer in accessories that has such a cause, let me know. I am always eager to assist you and get your beautiful products out there while also allowing people to get to know about your philanthropic efforts as well.
