Fashionable & Support
I love living in the city because there is always something to do. There's a great restaurant, something to join, a great boutique and tons more. No matter what you can think of doing, there is always something else. But sometimes we need to take a step back and stop thinking of things that we want to do for ourselves and think of how we can help others. As many of you know, I work in the fashion industry (in addition to my love of designing my own jewelry) and I love that my company is socially conscious and is always eager to lend a helping hand. This picture has me on the left with some girls from our JP Morgan Challenge. Right before the race we all played around but it was nice to know that the funds that went towards our fees helped give money to Central Park. This is a great place to hang out.
Once again, there is something else amazing that we are doing which in my opinion, is a great way to accessorize in a new way. On Oct 20th many companies and individuals will come together with NY Cares to paint murals, lines, organize libraries and more for the children of NY. I am so excited to be apart of this and have not only donated funds, but will also donate my time as well. I reach out to my fashionistas, bloggers, etc to encourage you to find ways to help your community which makes you feel like you're not only adding a little spark but that you are contributing as well. We all love looking glam but there is something about giving a bit of glam to a group of kids that will live on beyond the amazing outfit you come up with when you're on your way to helping out!
