Form, Function & Finesse

watches but beyond this, I have never been brand specific. Thankfully, I was merely at the counter to add my opinion as my friend began looking. Knowing that he had a lot of leather watches, I assumed that if he purchased something, that it would be with this band. I was pleasantly surprised to see that he decided to add a little spice into his collection with the steel band. I love seeing steps being made to infuse a collection with new pieces - it's always a step in the right direction. After looking at the cases, he settled on Swiss Army's Ambassador Mechanical Self Winding Watch. The first thing that caught my eye was that the steel band had a great woven look to it that gave it elements of elegance and a casual rugged nature. This piece would look great with a graphic tee and cargo shorts but also a pin stripe suit. In addition to the style of the band another aesthetic involves the face. I love a dark face and this black one has such a presence that it screams confidence - perfect for the professional. Beyond the elements of style, I love the functional portions. Nothing is more annoying then waking up and not knowing what day it is, thankfully this watch ensures that you'll never have to wonder about this. With hands that illuminate, you'll still be able to tell the time. Most importantly, batteries no longer become an issue. This watch allows the wearer to be the ultimate battery. If you switch between watches, you may find that you're watch temporarily stops and needs to be worn to get it moving again. This is a small inconvenience that is worth it when you consider that this piece becomes your new go to from heading out for bagels or heading out to work for the day.
