When I first came to the city, I had a huge transition to make - I realized that there was no way that I could make it through the day with the tiny bags I had been used to carrying. This was no small task, I loved having just a few things in my bag and having a light bundle to carry. Looking back I think how my former self would be amazed at the large bags that I effortlessly carry. I have my own mini office, entertainment system and vanity with me at all times. But there are many times that I wish I could condense my bag into something cute. Unfortunately this only occurs when I go out (meaning I had time to go home as opposed to leaving from one activity and heading there), I'm on vacation or I plan a day where I am in the city simply to enjoy and not to work on a thing. Just like you can be glam with a large bag, the same is true when you carry a smaller tote.

So, there are adorable bags that you can carry that are cute, stylish, small and yet able to carry a little more than just the basics. I have been a fan of Kathy Van Zeeland since I remember being in the city. It was at the same time that I fell in love with Swarovski Crystals that I came to love her sense of bling and style. I have always loved that her bags are stylish while making you take a double take on the details that she provides in her line. I love the bag above. From a functional standpoint, it zips across the top and has side pockets which are important for my electronics (PS love that the bag comes with a key chain - it's like an extra treat).

As a style element, what's not to love. I am a fan of the cognac color because it's perfect for all seasons, outfits and more. The hardware is noticeable; however, I love that it doesn't overpower the tote. I would wear this to go to the gallery for an afternoon or to attend a sporting event. Of course, when I'm lunching with the girls, this is the perfect choice. When it comes to going out, whether you're at an outdoor cafe in the summer or indoors on a snowy evening at a lounge with a fireplace, you will feel properly accessorized.
