Globe Trotting Never Looked So Good

I am a sterling silver kind of girl; however, there is something about that bronzed/aged gold look that I love too. I think that it looks better every time you wear it and is a great middle ground for those that are fans of silver and tend to steer away from gold. The other day, I had the pleasure of conversing with San Francisco based Berit of Berit Designs. This amazing designer has a beautiful site and has three collections of jewelry: Celebration, Gloobetrotting and Fresh Baby. Immediately I was drawn to Globetrotting. I love the earthiness of it. Her creations emerge from her travels in India, Thailand, West Africa and bali.

One of my favorite pieces within this collection (which it is always hard for me to choose just one of anything), is a pair of earrings entitled – Casablanca. Casablanca is the perfect earring that can not only carry you from day to night; however, it is perfect for the jeans and a tank top, Little Black Dress or stunning gown. You have to love truly versatile pieces that become a staple for almost anything that you put on. That's how an accessory evolves above a compliment to your outfit and becomes a signature of your style.

Casablanca is brass filagree (which I love – that goes back to that aged look) with purple Czech glass. These earrings have a North African style and I do love that the wires that actually go in your ear are 14K gold. The total length is 1 3/4 which is perfect. I love how it's a noticeable earring and yet it's very classic. The price point is perfect, $49.00 for a set that you will wear for years to come.
