Handbag Editing

I saw an ad online today for $25 handbags. What, I wondered, could you get for $25?

The Paisley Clutch pictured above can be had for $20.95. I think it'd be really cute with jeans and a loose-fitting top. It's kind of bohemian chic. Not usually my style, but definitely workable, and it adds some color to a summer outfit.

They also have a Modified Zebra Stripe Hobo. Not bad, though I wish the striping was the same on both sides of the bag. I would happily carry this during the summer – it's fun but still tasteful.

It made me wonder what all the fuss is over expensive bags, when so much can be had for so little money. The answer, I think, is editing.

Most of the stuff on Handbag Heaven is junk, and you have to be willing to wade through a lot of ugly items to find a single gem.

Personally, I'll pay a premium to have it all edited for me. And that, I guess, is what every store is counting on, and the reason handbags are so expensive.

Still, it's nice to know that if I'm willing to take the time, a cute accessory is out there for less than $25.00!
