I Adore ... The "It" Bedford Bag
I remember when I interviewed Carlos Falchi and asked him what his "It Bag" was. He explained that there wasn't an "It Bag" only what the person wearing the bag loved at the moment. Well, although I believe in this concept, I felt that the bag above from banana republic gained "It Status" with me. I initially saw this bag earlier in the year and I have always been a fan of giving bags from Banana Republic as gifts and yet, have never had one myself. After passing this bag for weeks, I feel that this weekend this bag from the Bedford Collection will be my signature bag for this summer. I love how large it is and how it can sit perched on your arm. The color is absolutely warm and is so versatile. I have always been a fan of large bags and love the shape of it as well. Without a doubt for those who ask what is it that you look for in a bag? This would be it. I am always running between appointments, attending dinners and cocktails and I need something that can carry all my worldly techie items while also being able to hold a few other things. Although this bag is huge, it's so not overwhelming. I absolutely can't wait to wear this out and about as an everyday bag whether I am totally casual or a little dressed up. I got this bag towards the later end of April and I have to say it's one of the best buys. I love how large it is and feel that it's a great bag to carry 95% of the time. I love the color and the ease. It's so nice when you're buying small items, that they can go right in your bag with little fuss. I haven't filled this bag up which is nice to actually have a little room. I would definitely continue to buy bags from Banana Republic. The compliments have been so nice and it's nice to know that I didn't pay an insane amount for it :).
