Maybe it's because I'm originally from the midwest; however, when it came to scarves, I thought of them as something to be worn with coats. Thankfully my mother from the east coast wore scarves, shawls, etc throughout the year so that at least I knew that there weren't any rules when it came to when something should be worn. Coming out to NYC, it was almost like having a live version of your favorite mags on constant play. You watch people put looks together which you can adopt as your own without waiting for the issue to hit. After a period of time, it totally becomes your look. One of mine happens to be scarves. It doesn't matter whether it's chunky wool, linen or much more! A scarf is a great way to make a blah outfit a little spicey. In addition, when you realize that you have nothing in your closet (yes you can have nothing in there even when you just spent way more then you should have).
By Brooke is a great place to find a variety of beautiful scarves that you will enjoy. I love this ruby scarf and feel that this pop of color is great to pair with jeans, cropped jackets and even better with a simple outfit. Take some time to visit the site and find all of your favorites.
