John & Converse are Your Essential
I have to say that I am still not a 100% sold on the whole Converse footwear. It may be something that has to do with the fact that I am from Indiana originally and I saw this shoe a lot, it's part of the basketball heritage of my state and many of our schools and it's what you see everywhere as you go from high school to collegiate campuses. I still see them in NYC and I think that it's great that it is truly an American classic and one that you can customize but it's going to take a lot for me to embrace it into my own closet! I didn't think that I would budge but on a recent visit to ShopBop.com. I did see these super cute shoes that are Converse by John Varvatos! These are limited edition, they slip on and they have that great vintage look. I love that they are the perfect items to wear with your wide leg jeans, khakkis or days that you're hitting the beach and you need to hop on the lirr and have some comfort for a few hours! I just dug my converse out of the back of my closet – I may start wearing them every now and then!
