Leather Bags Care and Repair

If you've spent hundreds (or maybe even thousands?) of dollars for a fine leather bag, you naturally would want to be able to use it for a long time, right? The good thing with leather goods is that, although there are exceptions, if they are of high quality, they can weather many years of use, provided that they are well taken cared of.
When not in use, make sure you store them properly to protect them from getting too dry (never store in plastic), but away from moist confines where mold may grow. Every so often, give your bags a buff with a shoe polish to condition the leather.
If there are water spots, loose stitching, stains, or other damages, do not bring them to a run of the mill shoe and leather goods repair shop. Send them to a handbag professional like the Artbag in New York. It won't be cheap, but you can be sure your bag will be handles by trained craftsmen who appreciate the value of your item.

Usually, leather bags need good care and careful repair. If not, it will not look elegant and shiny any more.
