Peek Into Etsy
Unless you've been living under a rock, most of you are familiar with Etsy. When it comes to supporting indies and getting various items that are handmade or one of a kind, this is definitely a great place to go to get items that will make sure that you don't see yourself coming and going. One of the designers that has caught my eye is Dana LeBlanc whose beautiful Bronze Mother of pearl necklace is one of those fab transitional pieces that you will enjoy wearing. I love that it has multistrands which are perfect to wear with a LBD or even a great tank and jeans. I love your take on accessories – the jewelry featured is always ‘of the moment.’ Pearls are always so effortless.
A key trend to watch concerning pearls is the thriving jewelry market of Dubai. They are seeking to reclaim their pearling status with “Pearls of Dubai” project. Undoubtedly, we will see some new and exciting things from that part of the world — which will hopefully spark Pearl innovation in the US markets.

I have to agree with you in terms of pearls. I would love to see how that will be reintroduced into people’s choices. As a jewelry designer, I enjoy working with stones and sea shells and although I enjoy pearls since they are gorgeous, I always pause in incorporating them in my designs as I wish to always create pieces that are striking and very now. Your comment is definitely a challenge for me to find a way to use this within future designs and to look for those that can do this with pearls in their designs as well.
I definitely try to bring what is now or on the verge of now and I have to say that it is refreshing to constantly be amazed by the talents that are within this designer community!
