It has been forecasted that Carnelian will be the stone of the season! This is such a beautiful citrus/amber colored stone that is such a great transitional stone regardless of the season (perfect for the fall and fabulous for the summer as well). Last week at the Accessories Trade Show, I finally met
Sonya Renee whose jewelry was absolutely amazing. This Dallas based company designed by Gina Renee Wright, has elements of natural stones and a simplistic elegance that wears well with so many outfits and occassions. Many of the pieces that I enjoyed the most were 14kt gold (amazing I know but they were simply beautiful) and since Carnelian has become my preference for the last few months, this definitely caught my eye. I absolutely love the stones that dangle from this earring and love that although it is large, it is unobtrusive while being a fabulous conversational piece. Instantly, I thought of pairing this with a cute tank and eyelet skirt - perfect for an afternoon of shopping on the islands, when you're back in the city, this is great to wear when you are brunching with the girls with a pair of embellished jeans (orange tone embroidery would be very chic) paired with a simple tank and a fabulous pair of flip flops and of course on a casual evening when you're hosting a cocktail party, having a roof top event or something special wrap a thin shawl around a simple jersey halter (huge fan of this) and have these earrings paired with it. Regardless, you'll have a special glow and always seem to carry a bit of sunset with your new found love for Carnelian!
