Metal Chik is such a great site that I had to create a new category on this site - "Blogs We Love". This new category will be for those sites that are as focused on accessories that I am on here. Metal Chik is a mixture of a blog with vlog infusion as well. Victoria Tillotson, the hostess of this format provides webisodes on a weekly basis. Who is this mastermind of this fab site? She is a fabulous designer that is known for her technique and teaches courses at NY's School of visual arts. I love the 60's style jewelry that she includes within her first episode. What a great way to enjoy looking at fab pieces while being able to make something unique for yourself. I also love that this site brings in a little web love with guest bloggers. Fellow CW blogger, Tammy Powell (who runs the Jewelry Weblog) has a post on this site as well which is a great way of getting to know more about her as well.

Expect to learn about techniques, a wide range of interests within jewelry makers and more. Although I have yet to work with metals, this is something that I would love to know more about since I tend to make lariats containing shells and stones. I would love to learn how to make sterling silver rings or even cuffs. Whether you're making personal pieces or creating gifts for others, this is a great site that you will continue to visit within your bookmarks.
