Ok so of course when you have a FABULOUS sunny weekend, you know that there might be a smidge of rain. NYC in the fall means that there will be a little rain. The other day I was talking to someone about the proper etiquette of wearing your rainboots. Can they be worn all day, how do you co-ordinate them? I must admit that prior to coming to NYC, I mever owned a pair of boots (I did have a Sesame Street set - super cute white rain coat with the characters on them, matching hat, boots and umbrella - yes even then I knew not to mix my character - no Rainbow Brite could ever be co-ordinated with the cool kids that lived on Sesame Street) until I walked around Madison Ave during a downpour with my shoes filled with slosh and I vowed that this would not happen again! So I found a pair of dependable Black Boots. They don't look great but I can walk around all day without fear of getting soaked.

Sometimes, I feel that even though it's raining, you don't have to be downpour ready if it's only a light rain or you won' be in it for that long. That's when I saw (drum roll) Tretorn which has the CUTEST wedge heels in cute colors. I posted the yellow ones because it's cheery but how adorable are these and they are practical! So we now know when battling the rain we need a great umbrella, a pair of boots for the soggy days or when you will be in the rain for long periods and these cuties when you need to be in the rain for about a second or it's not bad.
