The Key to Style

I think a major key to style is to go with what you feel. We may not have the ability to have friends that are stylists; however, if you feel that what you're going for works for you, it's much better than going with something that someone else suggests that may not be you! Another key to style is to pick something that is versatile and becomes a bit of a signature. Signatures can rotate but no matter what – you always feel comfortable when you find yourself wearing it again. I love this key necklace by Jessica Elliot and feel that this would be a fabulous staple within your wardrobe and is a great conversational piece. "Is that something passed down to you", "What is that a key to" and of course "What does it mean".

I would love the idea of having this piece, layering it with another necklace and having a cute t-shirt, tank top or something simple paired with jeans. In the same way that it's able to wear well with a dressed down item, you can dress it up by pairing it with a pair of heels and a dress or a fancy blouse. I think that the key to style can also be finding designers that have the ability to create items that are open in their interpretation and allows you to be the ultimate stylist as you create meaning in their pieces! Take some time to find pieces that support your look at Jessica Elliot's shop.
