The Polyester Scarf Reborn

When I think of my childhood, I remember lots of well-intentioned holiday gifts from relatives who lived far away. Year after year my mother opened a box from a particular aunt (who shall remain unnamed), and inevitably it would contain a polyester scarf. I'll never forget my mother's look of amusement when every year she was presented with this nearly identical hideous object.

Years later, I was happy to learn that my mother was able to find a willing recipient in our neighbor who had long admired my mom's scarf collection. Go figure.

It was a very long time then until I learned to appreciate what a beautiful scarf could mean – a great accessory around your neck to brighten a winter sweater, or a flutter of color on a simple black handbag (after all – you can't always have a new one and something needs to disguise last year's style!)

This Mila Schon scarf comes in two colors – black, which is so elegant, and a beautiful, rich purple which reminds me of spring. And unlike the old polyester model, it will never go out of style.
