What is the Appropriate Clothing for Young Girls?
When it comes to children's clothing, what is age appropriate clothing for young girls?
As a recent post at ThePetitionSite.com suggests, some believe there is reason for concern when it comes to the clothing being marketed to young girls and young women, a concern focused on the image of young women being portrayed in the media, by fashion designers, children's clothing manufacturers and retailers and even by the celebrities many young women choose to emulate.
It is a response to this perceived change in what is considered "fashionable" for young girls and young women and an attempt to return to a standard based on a basic foundation of what some call "decency."
Some retailers of children's clothes including companies like Tea and others have answered the call with collections increasingly reflecting a new outlook about what is considered acceptable clothing styles especially for young girls.
So what is your opinion? Do you believe there is a fine line between fashion and what is acceptable and decent attire for young girls? Does it seem to you that young girls are growing up too fast and that many look older than they are owing to the way women are being portrayed by the media and even by the celebrities they admire.
