Uncomfortable Shoes Relegated To Closets

When faced with a pair of uncomfortable shoes, less than a quarter of Americans are likely to attempt fixing these shoes themselves, instead preferring to get rid of the shoes altogether, leave them lying around, or even wear them through pain. According to a survey, the average American owns 11 pairs of shoes, and almost 28 percent have this much footwear or more lying around.
A new national survey by Eneslow®, The Foot Comfort Center, finds that when driven by discomfort millions of Americans relegate shoes they can't wear anymore to the back of their closets or throw them out. While women own almost three times as many neglected pairs as men do, more women than men own up to having shoes they don't wear.
